Like many commercial businesses, Saga are keen to monitor and assess staff performance.
At times, an employee’s performance may be perceived as falling short, resulting in the commencement of capability procedures. Most people fear such procedures; however, applied properly, they can usually correct the deficiencies in an individual’s performance and act as a safety net.
However, there may be occasions when you feel the process has been instigated without integrity.
Whether you are subject to capability procedures for valid reasons in a supportive, constructive way, or you feel you are unfortunately going through the process inappropriately, the IDU will give you the support and advice you need to secure a positive, constructive outcome.
In the worst-case scenario, if you feel these processes are being used as a weapon with which to bully you, we will represent you robustly.
Even where the process is being properly used, we will act on your behalf to ensure that you get the best support and training to enable you to meet whatever is being required of you.
Should you be told that your performance is below expectations, please contact your local IDU Representative as soon as possible. He or she is well versed in the procedures.
